That current-custody wording matters because CIRIS is not promised as a complete public archive of every discharged person.
Search CIRIS Carefully
Search CIRIS by name or CDCR number if known, then use the Lake County court case to compare spelling, commitment county, case number, and sentencing date. If the record shows current location or BPH dates, treat those as state-prison fields, not county jail fields. If a projected or tentative date appears, confirm actual release through CDCR contact, VINE, parole or PRCS supervision, and the court record.

Projected Dates Are Not Final Release
Projected or tentative release information in state custody can change. The research identifies sentence length, presentence credits, conduct credits, CDCR credit rules, parole eligibility, BPH decisions, resentencing, court orders, and transfer processing as factors. If a CIRIS screen shows a date, describe it by the exact label shown and treat it as a current state-prison planning field until confirmed by CDCR or the proper supervision agency.
For parole-eligible terms, BPH may matter more than a fixed release date. The BPH schedule shows hearings, and the results page shows recent outcomes, but a proposed grant is not the same as immediate physical release. BPH's after-hearing guidance says decisions generally become final within 120 days unless reviewed or referred. CDCR processing still follows.
Parole or PRCS After CDCR
After a CDCR release, supervision can point either to state parole or county PRCS. State parole is CDCR/DAPO. PRCS is supervision by a county agency after certain CDCR releases. Lake County Probation Field Services identifies probation, PRCS, and Mandatory Supervision as local Adult Field Unit categories, while Lake County's probation guidance distinguishes violent state-prison parole cases from county probation jurisdiction.

Lake County Transfer Clues
When the Lake County court case shows commitment to state prison, the Hill Road release question becomes a transfer question.
